Dr. David Uhl, Lancaster City Council President
Dr. David Uhl was born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio and is a 1998 graduate of Lancaster High School. He currently serves as the director of business development with the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Dr. Uhl holds a PhD in organizational management and leadership and serves as an affiliate faculty member teaching business management at Ohio Christian University. He is also an ordained minister with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union, serving as Pastor at Rushville CCCU.
David currently serves on numerous community boards and committees, and focuses his full time energies on public service and not-for-profit organizations. He is the former chairman of the Historic Lancaster Commission, Chairman of Fairfield County College Bound, a college access committee that he founded in 2011, vice president of the Lancaster Fairfield County Fourth of July Celebration, a board member with the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce, serves on the United Way of Fairfield County Education Committee and is a proud member of the Lancaster Rotary Club. David was honored to serve as president of the club for the 2017/18 Rotary year.
In 2012, David was named the Young Professional of the Year by the Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce.
When he has free time, David enjoys politics, reading, golf and spending time with his wife, Perla, and 2 children: Samantha (age 8) and Ethan (age 3).
