Welcome to the Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications.

This department is an internal service department responsible for the coordination and maintenance of technology and communication needs for the City of Lancaster.  Our budget is derived through the evaluation of equipment and services necessary to sustain the efficient operation of city departments, then submitting that evaluation in budget form.  The Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications is responsible for the following services.
 
 Hardware and PC maintenance  Data-Center setup and monitoring
 Cat-5 Network Infrastructure  Backup of mission critical functions and data
 Fiber Network Infrastructure  Two-way Radio Systems
 Software installation and maintenance  911 Call Center for Police and Fire
 Licensing maintenance and compliance  Building Alarm and Access Control systems
 Web page and web server creation and                maintenance  Hardware and Software recommendations and purchasing
 Email server maintenance  Internal telephone systems and billing
 Printer setup and maintenance  Tornado Sirens
 Intranets and websites  Police and Fire vehicle technology (Lights/Sirens)
 Future Technology implementations  Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
