MISSION
STATEMENT
The Personnel Department supports the
human resource needs of all City Departments. It serves
to:
v
Assist the City in eliminating unlawful
discrimination in employment based upon race, color,
religion, sex, national origin, and disability, ancestry,
age, sexual orientation or veteran status.
v
Assist City officials in recruiting and
developing a competent work force.
v
Assist City officials in complying with
federal, state and local laws.
v
Enhance organizational excellence through
efficient employee benefit plan administration and
strategic risk management.
v
Assist the City Administration negotiate and
administer five (5) labor contracts.
v
Assess, arrange and coordinate training
needs of City employees.
v
Standardize core human resource policies to
promote organizational and administrative consistency.
v
Manage personnel records.
