RESIDENTIAL REFUSE PICK-UP GUIDELINES
- Residential refuse, garbage and
yard waste are collected one day per week.
- All items must be set out by 7:30
A.M. on the day of collection.
- All refuse & yard waste shall be
set out at the curbside or alley, as is customary to
your street.
- Refuse should be placed within 5
feet of curb or alley, and either contained in trash
cans, boxes, trash bags or tied and bundled in less than
4 feet in length, for safe lifting.
- Each item must not exceed 50
pounds.
- Trash can size must not exceed 33
gallons.
- We will take everything we
possibly can, but we must leave items that might cause
an injury, or damage the truck, or is hazardous
material, or against regulations for disposal.
Examples of what we will not pick up: tires,
appliances, car batteries, liquids, concrete, metal
pipes, swing sets, clothes line poles, building
materials, etc.
- Our Transfer Station is open to
the public, for disposal of extra trash, furniture,
appliances, and tires, but a fee will be charged. We do
not accept building material. We are located at 743
South Ewing Street, and open between 7:30 - 4:00 P.M.
Monday – Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday.
