The following statement is from Paul Martin, Service Safety Director, City of Lancaster:
We have been receiving a lot of questions about the food truck permitting process for downtown events. Please note that Destination Downtown Lancaster does not oversee this process. The City has various factors that are used to determine permits, the most important of which is relying on the Fairfield County Health Department's health and safety inspection process for food trucks. We review both the initial operating permit and the ongoing inspections that take place as the food truck is in actual operations at a site. These inspections are a matter of public record and can be viewed at the following link. https://healthspace.com/Clients/Ohio/Fairfield/web.nsf
Our priority is always to provide a wonderful downtown dining experience, and first and foremost in that experience is the health and safety of our citizens, relying on public health experts for this guidance.
