Featured Article: COVID-Relief Funding for Non-Profits

The City of Lancaster has been allocated funds through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19).  A portion of these funds are being used for assistance to non-profit organizations to recover from shortfalls in revenue during 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 4:00 P.M.


  • 501(c)(3) non-profit based in the City of Lancaster's municipal boundaries
  • Primarily serve Lancaster residents
  • Negative financial impact due to COVID-19
  • Preference for organizations that were:
    • Closed down
    • Had reduced revenue from fundraisers
    • Did not receive other sources of COVID-related financial assistance

South End Neighborhood Garden - Spring 2022 Update

The South End Garden Club is back for the start of the growing season. Tom James offered to help by tilling the garden plot earlier this week, which allowed the club to plant a large variety of vegetables and herbs this morning.

Community Development Champion Award - Bob Sulick

We would like to recognize Bob Sulick as our Community Development Champion for everything he has done for our department and community. Bob stepping up to lead our Lead Hazard Control Program has allowed us to do so much more to help the community.
