Emphasizing FUN and teamwork, the No Limits Athletics program will provide your son or daughter, regardless of skill level or ability, with a positive experience in learning the FUNdamentals of the sport.
Camp staff will include professionals certified by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and Ohio Department of Education, as well as area high school and junior high coaches certified by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. FairfieldDD Special Olympians, as well as current players from county high school and junior high teams will also serve as counselors. We will have interpreters for athletes who are deaf.
Who Should Attend:
Any boy or girl interested in learning basketball & tennis skills and FUNdamentals, regardless of skill level or ability. Because this is an INCLUSIVE camp, siblings of individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend (please complete a separate registration form for each participant). Athletes who use wheelchairs are also encouraged to participate (a limited number of competition wheel-chairs will be available for the basketball camp).
Athletes will be grouped based on age and skill level. Each group will include both athletes with disabilities and those without, who will serve as peer models. Once again, the emphasis will be on learning and having fun. There won’t be any pressure based on skill level or ability.
