CSO 1019 Express Sewer Project
The CSO 1019 Express Sewer Project involves the upsizing of a sanitary sewer in order to reduce the number and magnitude of combined sewer overflows (CSOs) into Baldwin Run from CSO 1019. This project is mandated by the Ohio EPA under the City’s Long Term Control Plan.
Construction of the new sanitary sewer will begin on the LDOT property at 800 Lawrence Street, go underneath the railroad, and terminate within Mary Burnham Park near the end of the gravel parking lot. Access to the bike trail will be maintained throughout the project, but throughout construction the trail will be detoured along a temporary path established within the park. Portions of the park and its gravel parking lot will be off-limits to the public during construction.
The project will begin on January 8, 2018 and is expected to be completed by the end of April 2018, weather permitting. The contractor on the project is Rock River Construction from Lancaster, Ohio.
