On September 8, 2022 The City of Lancaster, Ohio, submitted an application for rezoning 20.661 acres of vacant land located on Wilson Road east of US 33. The property was recently annexed to the City and is designated as Bowers Memorial Park.
The property is currently zoned Residential R-1 under Greenfield Township Zoning, but the petitioner has proposed to change the zoning to Commercial Neighborhood(CN).
The first step for this zoning change request is for it to go beforeLancaster City Planning Commission. Once Planning Commission makes its recommendation, that recommendation, along with the application, will be forwarded to City Council for consideration. Once City Council has conducted their public hearing, they have the ability to vote on the application.
