Dr. David Uhl, Lancaster City Council President

Dr. David Uhl was born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio and is a 1998 graduate of Lancaster High School.  He currently serves as Assistance Vice President for Advancement at Ohio Christian University and is formerly the Director of Business Development and Government Relations with the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities.  Dr. Uhl holds a PhD in organizational management and leadership and serves as an affiliate faculty member teaching business management and leadership at Ohio Christian University.  He is also an ordained minister with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union, serving as Pastor at Rushville CCCU.

David currently serves on numerous community boards and committees, and focuses his full time energies on public service and not-for-profit organizations.  He is the former chairman of the Historic Lancaster Commission, Chairman of Fairfield County College Bound, and vice president of the Lancaster Fairfield County Fourth of July Celebration.  He is a proud member of the Lancaster Rotary Club and serves as an assistant district governor for Rotary District 6690.  David was honored to serve as president of the the Rotary Club of Lancaster during the 2017/18 Rotary year.

In 2012, David was named the Young Professional of the Year by the Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce and in 2018 was named one of Columbus Business First’s 40 under Forty in Central Ohio.

When he has free time, David enjoys politics, reading, golf and spending time with his wife, Perla, and 2 children: Samantha and Ethan.
