Dr. David Uhl, Lancaster City Council President
 

Dr. David Uhl was born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio and is a 1998 graduate of Lancaster High School.  He currently serves as Assistant Superintendent for the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Dr. Uhl holds a PhD in organizational management and leadership, a masters degree in education, and a bachelors degree in religion. He is an ordained minister with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union, serving as Pastor at Rushville Church in Rushville, OH.

David currently serves on numerous community boards and committees and focuses his full time efforts on public service and not-for-profit organizations.  He is the former chairman of the Historic Lancaster Commission, Chairman of Fairfield County College Bound, and vice president of the Lancaster Fairfield County Fourth of July Celebration.  He is a proud member of the Lancaster Rotary Club and was honored to serve as president of the Rotary Club of Lancaster during its 100th Anniversary during the 2017/18 Rotary year.  David has been selected to serve as District Governor of Rotary International District 6690 (Central/South Central Ohio) during the 2023/24 Rotary year.

In 2012, David was named the Young Professional of the Year by the Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce and in 2018 was named one of Columbus Business First’s 40 under Forty in Central Ohio. In 2021, David was named Statesman of the Year by the Fairfield County Republican Lincoln Club. 

When he has free time, David enjoys politics, reading, and spending time with his wife, Perla, and 2 children: Samantha and Ethan.
