Teresa Sandy:  Clerk Lancaster City Council

Teresa Sandy was appointed as Clerk of Lancaster City Council at the first meeting of January 2005, by former City Council President Carl Tatman, and continues to serve in that capacity today.

When appointed as Clerk of Council, Teresa took it upon herself to revamp her responsibilities therefore making information more available to the public. Legislation, agenda, and minutes, among other documents are now available online for public review 24/7.

With Teresa's abilities of organization and order, former City Council President Kenneth D. Culver nominated her for Administrative Assistant of the Year. On April 21, 2010, Teresa was named the 2010 Administrative Professional of the Year by the Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce.

Teresa is also employed by the City of Lancaster Law Director & City Prosecutor's Office as the Office Manager, and has served in that capacity since January 2, 1996.

Teresa and her husband Rod have resided in the City of Lancaster since 1999 with their three dogs Daisy, Lucy, and Charlie. They are the proud parents of two grown children son Nikolaus (Eileen) and daughter Tiffany (Cory), and five grandchildren Luke, Aiden, Zora, and Cullen. Teresa is a member of the First United Methodist Church.
